The Parikrama Team

Terina Nelson
RMT, CAHP, President
I've always loved helping people and encouraging others to get in touch with their deeper meaning. So, when I found myself at a crossroads in life, I took a leap of faith and founded Parikrama so I could dedicate my career to that mission. As an RMT, my main goal is to inspire you to connect with your whole being through informative clinical treatments that focus on the root cause of your aches and pains, as well as restorative relaxation treatments to balance mind, body and spirit. I don't believe that healing can be looked at as a "one size fits all" prescription. By combining multiple treatments and educating you about how your body works, we'll find a path to healing that works in favor of your body's needs. I proudly hold the Distinction award through the 3000-hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma at Makami College.

Client Care
I've always thrived on human connection. If you were to ask me what my biggest passions in life were, I'd likely say hitting the slopes and having fun in the snow, travelling and loving unconditionally. It's why I love having the opportunity to connect with each and every one of our clients, taking of their needs so they can focus on feeling good. As a self-proclaimed adventure junkie, I know just how important it is to keep your body healthy and happy. I'm here to help you with any questions you might have along the way. Here in the clinic, we're a family. I truly couldn't ask for a better group of people to have my back... literally!

The more you know about your body, the more equipped you are to care for it. As an RMT, my job is to help you understand how your body works and why you're experiencing specific symptoms so you can be the best advocate for your care. That's why I love the versatility of massage - because everybody is different. I'm well versed in Swedish massage, Myofascial release, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy and sports massage. I love switching it up and working with a variety of techniques to eliminate discomfort and help you feel better. I'm a graduate of CDI College with 2200 hours and a proud member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.

As someone who loves escaping into the outdoors I know just how important it is to find balance in both mind and body. I take that mentality with me into the treatment room, where I use a combination of relaxation with targeted muscular therapy to provide the client with stress relief in both mind and body. With a keen focus on orthopedic assessment and treatment as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation, I have helped clients with
low back pain, shoulder strain and injury, neck pain, headaches, and TMJ dysfunction. I also offer Myofascial cupping, pre-natal care, and I am also a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. I am passionate about teaching people about the body, and love getting feedback from my
clients.
